Your PMI Board has established an alliance with the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Business Analysis and Project Management are complementary and synergistic disciplines. What you may not know is that the IIBA used PMI as their model. This means it has a robust Body of Knowledge, education and certification opportunities, and worldwide chapters that function very much like local PMI chapters. The IIBA business model and offerings will seem very familiar to anyone who has been involved with PMI for even a short time.

PMI NEW members can attend Northeast Wisconsin IIBA chapter events and monthly meetings at the IIBA member prices. This arrangement is reciprocated for IIBA members who wish to attend PMI NEW events. The only exception is the IIBA Annual General Meeting; this meeting includes Board elections and is only open to paid and active IIBA members.

The PMI NEW Board of Directors encourages you to find out more about how this new alliance might benefit you by attending one of the IIBA meetings. We are excited to provide this new benefit and we hope you find value in IIBA participation.

PMI members are encouraged to continue their education, build their knowledge base and enhance their professional development with the help of PMI's eReads & Reference Online Book Program.

Through Books24x7®, PMI members have access to the full unabridged contents of selected PMI books and other leading project management and business texts. You can read, research and refine your book selections, browse or search text and create annotated bookmarks for quick future reference. And you can discover work solutions or learn about new areas of interest around the clock without leaving your desk.

Knowledge Shelf, a component of the PMI Virtual Library, is a growing online resource for project management knowledge. It's a great place for practitioners to expand their understanding of different aspects of project management. Many of the articles and papers in the Knowledge Shelf can help you learn how to most effectively practice project management in your organization.

PMI offers online learning opportunities that can conveniently address your continuing education needs. You can earn PDUs by taking online quizzes or completing on-demand workshops. Find out more at the PMI website.

The NEW Chapter has provided 30-40 Project Management books to the Appleton Public Library. These books are available for member and non-member use. Please visit Appleton Public Library Catalog for a listing of all project management related books available for checkout.
